Huawei recently listed the Honor 6X on the Chinese regulator TENAA website. Now, this tech giant has officially announced the company’s latest mid-range smartphone, Honor 6X at an event in China. The smartphone was rumored to be launched on October 18th and the company has now made the date official by revealing the device.
The smartphone Honor 6X carries touch fingerprint card sensor FPC1025 as confirmed by the Swedish biometrics firm Fingerprint Cards on their website.
Huawei Honor 6X has a 5.5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display which is powered by an Octa-Core Kirin 655 16nm processor that supports Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) and EMUI 4.1 on the top. It has a 12-megapixel camera with face detection autofocus (PDAF), LED flash and a secondary 2-megapixel for achieving the depth of field and background blur.
It also has an 8-megapixel camera on the front and a fingerprint sensor on the back that can unlock the phone in 0.3 seconds. The Honor 6X is made out of metal and looks even better than its predecessor 5X which was the company’s mid-range, budget offering. The phone comes in Blue, Gray, Silver, Gold and Rose Gold color variants.

This phone has come in three different models. The 3GB RAM model ships with 32GB of storage, while the 4GB RAM variant is available in both 32GB and 64GB storage flavors. These are official specifications taken from TENNA. The device has already received its certification in China. They will become available for buyers across the world starting on October 25th.
