The second generation of Nokia 6 or Nokia 6 (2018) is finally official. The company has finally unveiled the device today in China and to a certain degree, it resembles its predecessor.
Unlike the last year’s device, the smartphone has a rear-facing fingerprint scanner and it has thinner top and bottom bezels.
Nokia 6 (2018) is made of metal and features a 5.5 inches IPS LCD display boasting 16:9 aspect ratio and FullHD resolution for the users.
The device also carries Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset whereas its predecessor boasted Snapdragon 430 chipset. The new device still has Android Nougat as an operating system but an Oreo update is promised by the company in the future.
The smartphone also features a 4GB RAM, 32GB or 64GB of internal storage,16MP back, and an 8MP front-facing camera. Nokia 6 (2018) has switched to the USB-C type charging port for its 3000 mAh battery.
The device is available in Black and Silver and is priced at CNY1,499 (around Rs. 25,584 based on current currency exchange rates) for the 32GB variant and CNY1,699 (around Rs. 28,997 based on current currency exchange rates) for the 64GB variant. The actual prices in Pakistan may vary owing to the taxes imposed on import of mobile devices.
