There has been a dearth of a quality flight attendant in Pakistan, and the national career is known for less than standard in-flight services, and of course one the major factors is less than required skills among our flight attendants.
Just recently, 15 female flight attendants have passed out the 375th batch and joined the national flag career. Passing out ceremony was held for acknowledging the Flight Service Basic Training course at PIA Training Center.
Fifteen freshly recruited air hostesses underwent this 12-week training program on various aspects of safety, first aid, grooming and customer care for ATR and A-320 aircraft. Far ahead, some of them would be upgraded to A-330, after undergoing few short training sessions.
At the ceremony, Mr Bernd Hildenbrand, CEO PIA was briefed on the training courses for other PIA employees, including pilots and engineers. He was educated on current 54 trainees undergoing initial cabin crew training at the PTC.
He distributed certificates among the graduating air hostesses and acknowledged that these air hostesses as the future of PIA and said the cabin crew of an airline is not only an ambassador of the airline but also of the entire country. He advised them to ensure highest standards of service in their profession.
