Nokia 2 budget phone has been launched after much anticipation, coming forth as a new challenger for all the inexpensive phones out there in the market.

Finally, we have seen another entry-level smartphone by HMD Global which we weren’t expecting to see until early 2018 at MWC along with Nokia 9.

Nokia Myanmar Facebook page reported the release of a smartphone in November and the phone is here with few if not many jaw-dropping features.

Here’s what we absolutely love in Nokia 2 handset.

It promises 2-day long battery life

Nokia 2 offers 4100mAh battery which can run for 2 straight days on a single charge. Chief Product Officer at HMD Global, Juho Sarvikas said, “every component of the Nokia 2 — from the display to battery, chipset to system design — has been engineered to draw as little power as possible from the huge battery.”

Nokia 3, another beautifully designed entry-level smartphone which was launched earlier has a battery life of 2630mAh which was obviously, not as daring as Nokia 2 battery capacity.

It would receive Oreo update soon

Currently, the phone is running Android Nougat and built-in Google Assistant but it claims to have Android Oreo update soon in this smartphone but we don’t know exactly ‘how soon’ the Android Oreo update will roll out for the phone.

It is a budget phone

This Android handset would likely compete with QMobile budget smartphones phones or Motorola C Plus smartphone which is priced at Rs. 14,000 in Pakistan since it came with a price tag of $115 but we can’t be sure right now as the price in PKR is still unknown to us.

Previously the smartphone was rumored to be priced at $99 by a US retailer’s site which was later taken down. Anyhow, in Pakistan the $115 Price tag is subject to change due to taxes and duties.

Other Key Features

Apart from these dominating features, the phone has 5 inches of screen display, 1280X720 LCD, 8megapixel rear and 5megapixel front cameras. It has Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB microSD card.

No official release date for Pakistan is announced yet but we can assume that Nokia 2 handset will be available here from early 2018.
