Nokia 7 Plus

Nokia 7 Plus is the new mid-range device by HMD Global which was launched at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 yesterday. The smartphone’s specs are mostly the same that we have seen in the phone’s previous leaks.

HMD Global has introduced 5 new Nokia devices including four smartphones and one revived Nokia 8810 feature phone. While all of them offer some unique features, let’s see the five best features of the Nokia 7 Plus that sets it apart from other smartphones in its category.

Design and Display

Nokia 7 Plus comes with a large 6 inches screen whose slender bezels makes it easier for the user to use just one hand to use their smartphone. The frame of the device is manufactured from a single block of aluminum whereas the back has been coated with six layers of ceramic feel paint.

The back is not made up of metal which is not surprising given the price of the smartphone but still, it gives the premium feel which makes its design quite pleasing to the eyes.

The fingerprint scanner at the back of the device is placed at the right angle and with the full HD+ screen we can expect the users to enjoy watching movies on their smartphone.

Camera

Nokia 7 Plus features a dual camera setup, something that is mostly seen in the flagship devices of different brands. It has a 12MP main sensor alongside a 13MP telephoto lens and also features a 16MP front snapper for perfect and detailed selfies.

Thanks to the dual camera setup, the user can take Bokeh photos where the background can be blurred. If the user wants to tweak the settings of the camera, they can always shoot in the Pro mode.

Battery

One of the best features of Nokia 7 Plus is its massive 3800mAh battery which is larger than the one featured in its new flagship device, Nokia 8 Sirocco. Nokia devices though gives the guarantee of long battery life but still, their battery capacity has been on the lower side.

It is very refreshing to see HMD Global offering large battery in one of its mid-range devices where users won’t have to worry about their phone’s battery throughout the day given the normal use of the phone.

Android One

Nokia 7 Plus is an Android One device which means that the smartphone will receive the next two major Android OS updates as well as three years of security updates. The users just like any other Nokia device has stock Android which gives a clean interface without any pre-installed apps to fill up the internal storage

RAM and Storage

The smartphone offers a 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage that is becoming a benchmark for many mid-range devices. A higher RAM means fast processing power and with 64GB of RAM, the user doesn’t have to delete stuff from their devices on a regular basis.
