Google’s latest version of OS Android Pie has rolled out a couple of weeks ago and is already available to Pixel devices as well as some non-pixel devices too. While other manufacturers have not yet disclosed a detailed update schedule for their phone, HMD Global has already announced Android P update for all the Nokia devices.
Among all others, Nokia 6.1, 6.1 Plus, Nokia 8 and 8 Sirocco will be the first ones to get the Android Pie update.
HMD Global has come up with a detailed roadmap of the update where the first two models will get the latest version of Android at the end of this month while the Nokia 8 and Nokia 8 Sirocco will receive the update in November.
The company has not specified the date, however, we guess that the update will be rolled out with the October and November security patches that Google plans to release.
This update will bring all the interesting features of Android Pie like the Adaptive Battery and Adaptive Brightness and one of our most favorites, Digital Wellbeing which is an array of application that will work in a cohesive manner to curtail your spoiling habits of excessive smartphone usage.
Android Pie also focuses on the user privacy and security and will stop idle and malicious apps from hijacking your phone’s camera or recording you through the microphone.
