This year, Apple used the OLED display for the first time on its tenth anniversary smartphone iPhone X but some analysts believe that the company will revert back to using LCD display for 2018 iPhones.

It is pertinent to mention that iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus already have LCD displays but after iPhone X, some of us thought that the next year flagships will be filled with OLED displays but that won’t be the case apparently. According to a report by Barron’s Asia, the company, in a bid to lower the price of 2018 iPhones, will use LCD display.

The US-based tech giant launched three smartphones this year; iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X giving a variety of options for the iPhone lovers.

This year, we saw that the new smartphone flagship smartphone, iPhone X carried quite a hefty price tag of $999 where the users had to relearn how to use an iPhone again.

iPhone X can be categorized as the smartphone of the future as after taking a bold step of getting rid of the Touch ID, Apple introduced a reliable Facial ID and gesture-based features.

We are not sure whether LCD display will be available on the company’s devices yet but we would not mind a bit reduced price tag of 2018 iPhones.
