Apple will be releasing a brand new video editing app called Clips. It lets you customize your footage using tons of innovative features. It could completely change how to upload videos to Snapchat and Instagram.
Clip works much like Snapchat. When you open the app, you’re greeted by a big ‘Hold to Record’ button while at the top there are animated elements and words you can add. You can also mix and match videos and photos just like in Snapchat.
Clips has a handy feature called ‘Live Titles’ that can listen to what you say in your video and automatically turn it into text that can be pasted on top of the video. The voice command is much similar to the one to be introduced by Samsung in its upcoming Galaxy S8.
Moreover, Clips lets you add soundtracks to your video creations. You can choose from more than 40 tracks developed for the app. The app is smart enough to tailor the songs to your video so you don’t have to worry about ending on the wrong note.
The only part of Clips that seems like a downside is that it forces you to save your creations in a square format. That means they might end up looking a little awkward on Snapchat.
Apple, however, says videos made with Clips look best on iMessage.
