Careem Reduces Fares in Islamabad by 16%

The growing competition between ride-hailing companies has created price wars which have resulted in the provision of various discounted services by Uber and Careem.

Following the set pattern, Careem Pakistan has finally awarded discounted rates to the residents of Islamabad. The users living in the twin city can now enjoy 16 percent off on the original fares.

The new rates are only applicable for the GO cars, which are the most economical solution by the company for everyday ride issues.

New Fares

The new Careem fares in Islamabad are:

  • Base Fare: Rs. 100
  • Per KM Charges: Rs. 11
  • Waiting Charges per hour: Rs. 280
  • Minimum fare: Rs. 120

Recently, the company has also introduced new discounted prices in Faisalabad with 30 percent reduction in the overall fares.

The company has captivated the Pakistani audiences with its refreshing marketing approaches like hiring Waseem Akram as honorary CEO to announce the discounted prices in Karachi and Lahore.

Lately, the marketing strategy of the company was called into question after the introduction of Rishta Aunty Service and not so real Pizza Hut promotion. The company quickly made a comeback with its in-ride insurance facility that covers its captains and customers in the country.
