Sometimes you get mad at your network connection, most likely because its package plans and call rates are too high, or you are not getting the signals properly wherever you go. You want to change your network but can’t because all your friends have your current mobile number. But now you can change the network using MNP.

A few months ago, when biometric verification system was not launched in Pakistan, mobile phone users were able to change their network just by calling the helpline of their operator. But after the biometric verification became necessary, it is very difficult to change the number.

What is MNP?

All the mobile networks in Pakistan offer Mobile Number Portability (MNP), meaning, you can continue to have the same mobile number after changing your network operator.

Below we have mentioned the procedures for changing from one mobile network to another, without changing the number.

Jazz

  • Visit your nearest Jazz franchise
  • Bring your active cellular SIM card and original CNIC
  • Make sure that the number is registered in your name
  • SMS “MNP” to 667
  • Forward the received message to 76321 (charges will be applied)
  • Show the received details to the franchise representative
  • After biometric verification, the company will provide a new SIM card
  • You will have to pay Rs. 100 to acquire the SIM
  • The number will be converted to Jazz in 4-14 working days
  • The company will offer 700 free minutes, 700 free SMS and 700 free MBs internet for 7 days

Telenor Pakistan

Thinking about converting your current network and become a part of Telenor Pakistan’s family? Here how you can accomplish this task:

  • Visit your nearest Telenor Pakistan franchise
  • Bring your active cellular SIM card and original CNIC
  • Make sure that the number is registered in your name
  • The prepaid user will initially pay Rs. 100 whereafter Rs. 50 will be refunded in the shape of mobile balance
  • The postpaid user will submit the security deposit according to their subscribed package
  • You will be transferred to Telenor’s network in four days time.

Ufone

Enticed by various packages offered by Ufone? Port your number to this network by following these steps:

  • Visit your nearest Ufone Service Center or Franchise
  • Bring your active cellular SIM card and original CNIC
  • Make sure that the number is registered in your name
  • SMS “MNP” to 667
  • Forward the response to 76333 (charges will be applied)
  • Give the details provided by the SMS to the franchise’s Representative
  • The number will be part of Ufone’s family free of cost in 4-14 days
  • Initially, the user will be subscribed to “Super Minutes” package

Zong

Dream about owning a Zong connection? Here’s what you need to do:

  • Visit your nearest Zong center, Franchise or Main office
  • Bring your active cellular SIM card and original CNIC
  • Make sure that the number is registered in your name
  • SMS “MNP” to 667
  • Forward the SMS to 76313 (charges will be applied)
  • Share the received details with the franchise representatives
  • You will get a new Zong SIM and the number will be converted to the new network four working days

Warid Telecom

  • Visit your nearest Jazz/ Warid franchise
  • Bring your active cellular SIM card and original CNIC
  • Make sure that the number is registered in your name
  • SMS “MNP” to 667
  • Forward the SMS to 76321 (charges will be applied)
  • Give the received details to franchise representative
  • You will receive new Warid LTE SIM after biometric verification
  • The company will charge Rs. 100 fee
  • Your number will be converted to Warid in 4-14 days
  • Keep your both new and old sims active separately
  • You will get 700 Warid free minutes, 700 free SMS and 700 free MBs internet for 7 days
