The auto industry in Pakistan has started to see a positive trend that was initiated by the new auto policy 2016 and now the seeds of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) have started to produce fruits as two Chinese Automakers, Zotye and Great Wall Motors are coming to the Pakistani market.
Zotye is currently working with HRL Motors that has already introduced Zotye Z100 car in Pakistan for Rs 1,172,000. The company will soon be introducing more models of Zotye in the local market to provide more options to the buyers.
According to PakWheels, the upcoming models of Zotye cars include 1300, 1600 and SUV and the company’s luxury range.
Great Wall Motors, named after the Great Wall of China are popular because of their affordable and quality pick up trucks. It is rumored that the company will also enter the local market to provide a diverse range of products to Pakistanis but till now, there is no official confirmation by the company.
With the inclusion of more auto companies, the monopoly of the three major auto giants, Honda, Toyota, and Suzuki, will bite the dust and thus, the country will also see a healthy competition in this sector.
