Chinese Bikes Prices Increased in Pakistan

Following the car manufacturers, Chinese bike assemblers have also increased the prices of two-wheelers, motorcycle rickshaws, and bike loaders in the country.

Although the rupee has been recovered against the dollar after the bailout package given by Saudi Arabia, Chinese bike manufacturers have elevated the prices citing the rupee depreciation as a reason.

These last days of October are the best time if you want to purchase a motorbike as the prices will increase in the month of November. The original prices are increased by the following amount:

VehiclesEngine SizePrices Increased
United Motorcycles70-125ccRs. 3000 to Rs. 4000
United Rickshaw100ccRs. 5000
Road Prince bikes70-125ccRs. 2000 to Rs. 3000
Hi Speed Bikes70-150ccRs. 3000 to Rs. 7000
New Asia Bikes70-125ccRs. 3000
Metro Bikes70ccRs. 3000

“These prices are increased due to the elevated cost of kits and parts of the motorbikes due to recent rupee devaluation,” said Chairman Association of Pakistan Motorcycle Assemblers (APMA), Mohammad Sabir Sheikh.

Although Honda, Suzuki, and Yamaha have still not increased their vehicle prices, they might do it soon, our sources report.

Pakistanis are forced to buy cheap quality and outdated designs of motorcycles. The government should sit with all the stakeholders and devise a policy similar to the one implemented for the 4 wheelers in Pakistan.
