CCTV News, the largest state television broadcaster in China, has received the broadcasting rights in Pakistan. Soon, the people in Pakistan will be able to watch this Chinese tv channel in Pakistan.

According to the details, PTV Foundation has collaborated with CCTV China to bring the Chinese tv channel into Pakistan. The individuals in Pakistan will be able to enjoy watching the culture of China, the live documentaries and news stories from China.

The collaboration reflects the growing cooperation between the two countries in all areas of mutual interest including media. The electronic linkages between the two sides would bring the two countries closer to each other. The launching of a Chinese television channel in Pakistan is a part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects.

In this regard, a formal meeting was organized at the headquarters of the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA). The Chinese Ambassador in Islamabad, Sun Weidong, was also present at this ceremony.

It is worth mentioning here that a state-owned radio channel in China has also started its broadcasts in Pakistan with the name “Dosti Channel.”¬†Dosti Channel broadcasts the Chinese programmes in Urdu, Chinese and English languages from Islamabad and Karachi.

For this purpose, the three-Kilowatt transmitter was installed in Islamabad. Programmes about culture, information, education and entertainment are also broadcasted. This Chinese radio channel helps the people of the two countries understand each other’s culture and further enhances the bonds of friendship between the two nations.
