Facebook has just released the earnings for the first quarter of 2017 as it inches towards 2 billion users worldwide. The social media giant has just crossed 1.94 billion users worldwide, which marks an 18% increase from last year.
It is reported the social media site has 1.28 billion users who access the site daily, which is 66% of its monthly users. Moreover, Facebook has been introducing a host of new features to attract new users and retain current users.
Mark Zuckerburg has also announced plans for an AI-centered future for Facebook at the F8 conference and has even pointed towards a presidential run! Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak has realized Facebook’s amazing potential going forward and has said that it will still be around by 2075.
The social media site copied Snapchat’s feature and included it to Facebook and Whatsapp which saw the company facing immense criticism. Whatsapp will also be getting a makeover as it will be seeing the introduction of direct payments integrated into the messaging app.
Other recent inclusions include a rocket icon to suggest users new content and Messenger’s own AI M. The social media company has also introduced a tool for users to identify fake news and is deleting thousands of fake accounts worldwide.
