The inflow of Chinese vehicles is taking the Pakistani auto industry by storm where many people tired of the in-house monopoly are seeking these cars.
FAW Motors, a Chinese state-owned automotive manufacturing company is now manufacturing FAW V2 passenger car in Pakistan in collaboration with Al-Haj group.
Thanks to the improved auto policies of the country, more and more companies are opting to manufacture vehicles in Pakistan including Hyundai, KIA etc. FAW V2 will be the first locally manufactured 1300 CC Chinese car and will carry the price tag of Rs 1,070,000.
The car boasts a fuel efficient VCT-1.3 Engine alongside 5-speed manual transmission. It has 37 liters fuel capacity where it offers the fuel average of 14-15KM.
For passenger’s safety, the car is also equipped with the Dual SRS airbags and ABS+EBD brakes. FAW V2 also features electric power windows, power steering, alloy wheels, LED tail lights and a large trunk space.
According to Bilal Afridi, Company’s Managing Director, FAW has already invested Rs. 2.5 billion to set up the company in Pakistan and will furthermore invest Rs. 1.3 billion to improve its local assembly in the country.
FAW V2 will be available in five colors and is now open for bookings.
