The Galaxy S8 and S8+ launched last night at the Unpacked event, New York. Only time will decide if all the rumors and expectations about S8’s performance were true but for now, it is time for Galaxy Note 8 leaks from the Samsung headquarters!
Samsung officials have confirmed the Note 8 is coming this year. After the explosive Galaxy Note 7, there was a lot of pressure on Samsung to make sure the Galaxy S8 is a success. Samsung announced that it had put the S8 through the 8-point battery check to make sure the phone is ‘unexplosive’ and we hope the Galaxy Note 8 will go through a similar check.
Latest leaked images show what the Galaxy Note 8 could look like and could have even smaller bezels than the Galaxy S8. The unconfirmed leaks suggest the phablet will increase Qualcomm’s powerhouse chip Snapdragon 835 or Samsung’s Exonys 9000 depending on the region you reside in.
Furthermore, the Galaxy Note 8 is rumored to have a 6GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The display will be a 6.4-inches one with a super AMOLED screen and either QHD+ (2K) or UHD (4K) in contrast to the Galaxy S8’s 3k resolution screen.
In other news, some say the Galaxy Note 8’s code name is ‘Baikal’ and is expected to release in August or September which will make it a direct contender for the Apple iPhone 8.
The Galaxy Note 7 was priced at £749 and it is possible the Note 8 will be priced more than its predecessor.
