Samsung has finally started to roll out the new Android Oreo update for its last year’s flagship phablet, Galaxy Note 8.
The update has been spotted by a user in France and reportedly, the firmware is not a beta release. It also carries the March security patch level and Samsung Experience 9.0.
As we reported earlier, the company has scheduled a 30th March rollout of Android Oreo for the Galaxy Note 8 but it seems like the company has tweaked its schedule to speed up the process.
We are not yet sure whether the other countries have started receiving the Oreo update but hopefully, all the devices will get the latest OS in the next week or two. Samsung has already started rolling out Oreo for Galaxy S8 and soon it will be done with providing the latest update for its last year’s flagship devices.
Apart from Galaxy Note 8, here’s the schedule outlining when the other Samsung phones will receive Android 8.0:
- Galaxy S7 April 13th
- Galaxy S7 Edge April 13th
- Galaxy A7 (2017) May 25th
- Galaxy A5 (2017) May 25th
- Galaxy A3 (2017) May 25th
This year, the company has already launched its new flagship devices Galaxy S9 and S9+ which were launched in the Pakistani market this week. The price of Galaxy S9+ is Rs. 114,000 whereas the Galaxy S9 is available for Rs. 103,000
