We already know how big of a hit the Galaxy Note 8 was with its spectacular specs and outstanding performance. If you liked the Note 8, you’ll definitely love the Galaxy Note 9. Although the phone or its specs are not official yet, a significant amount of leaks have already poured in to give us a good hint of what to expect from the next Note flagship.
Although the leaks suggest that the phone will not receive any major upgrades from the last year’s model, still there are certain changes that may really matter to some users.
Here is an accumulation of all the major leaks and rumors hovering around the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 9.
Note series has always been bigger in size than the S series flagships and target a certain niche that like their phones big along with a stylus to enhance the usability of the phone. Samsung has been producing quite astonishing designs in Note series until the most recent Note 8.
However, it is tipped that the Galaxy Note 9 will be a carbon copy of its predecessor. Recently Note 9 has been revealed in live images on Slashleaks and apart from the fingerprint sensor placement, it looks exactly like the Note 8.
A reliable tipster Ice Universe has also claimed that Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will not receive any major changes in design than the last year’s Note 8. Ice universe has been almost always right about the leaks for Samsung phones and was the first to leak the exact specs of Note 8 as well. The leaker also posted an image of the phone.
Galaxy Note 9 appears to be visually identical to its last year predecessor. We can also see that Samsung has decided to keep the Bixby button below the volume rocker as well.
Earlier it was also speculated that the phone will have an in-display fingerprint sensor but as much as we wanted to see and on-screen fingerprint sensor, the leaks say otherwise. This means the phone will have a traditional sensor on the back just like the Note 8. But we do hope that Samsung fixes the awkward placement of fingerprint sensor in the Note 9 just like it did in the S9 and S9+.

An older rumor suggests the Note 9 will come with an additional button on the side. A leaked image of a Note 9 case shows a physical key, close to the bottom of the phone’s right-hand side, below the power button.
The function of the supposed key is still unclear. This key may have some form of camera functionality and may be used to take photos or screenshots.
AndroidHeadlines, a reputed tech website, recently obtained what it calls the official render of the phone. The image also depicts that the Galaxy Note 9 will be an exact copy of Note 8.
Another leak from GizmoChina stirs the things a little bit more and suggests that Samsung will adjust the awkward position of the fingerprint scanner on the Note 8 and will move it below the dual rear cameras in Galaxy Note 9.
Being a flagship device, we expect the Galaxy Note 9 to be beefed up with the top of the line specs to stay in competition with the likes of Huawei P20 Pro.
Just like the S9 and S9+, Galaxy Note 9 may also come with Snapdragon 845 but some models of the phone may come with Samsung’s latest Exynos chip but that entirely depends on the region.
Earlier, the benchmarks of the phone surfaced that hint towards the 6GB RAM. Moreover, it is strongly expected that the Note 9 will come with a minimum of 128 GB storage and will have 6GB or 8GB of RAM depending upon storage variants which will be 128GB and 256GB.
It is also predicted that the phone will have a huge battery to derive its juice from.

Another leak also hit the tech circles in which devices that support the Snapdragon 845 were listed an guess what? Galaxy Note 9 was also one of them. The list seems to be pretty authentic as the devices among the list that have been launched, also come with Snapdragon 845.
S Pen Functionality
One of the most talked about feature of the phone is its S Pen that will receive an overhaul and will come with different functionality to enhance the user experience. The Pen may come with Bluetooth connectivity and may be able to perform other actions remotely.
The Samsung event invites also feature a picture of the S Pen which signifies the importance of hardware update that the S pen will get in the Note 9. According to IceUniverse, it may be able to control long-range self-timer, music playback or even camera shutter.
