Google is about to launch new smartphones as the next generation of Android Nexus devices. The company is likely to hold an event on October 4. There are not many details about the exact specifications of the upcoming devices, and we have to wait for the official release about specs.
However, some media outlets have quoted some brief info, citing their sources. According to the rumors, the new Google smartphones are manufactured by HTC. Earlier, there were speculations that Huawei will manufacture the Google’s upcoming smartphone but that is not the case.
The devices, named as Pixel and Pixel XL will come with 5-inch and 5.5-inch screens. It is unclear whether the event on October will focus only on the smartphones or Google has some other plans too. Rumors suggest the initial price of these phones will be in between $600 and $650.
Both phones are expected to come with Snapdragon 820 processor and powered by 4GB RAM with a storage capacity of 32 GB. We may see 12MP rear camera and 8MP front shooter with built-in HDR capabilities.
Last year, Google’s Nexus device was manufactured by Huawei. It was the first time that some Chinese company built a Google device.
