Google has recently unveiled its Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones at its hardware event in San Francisco. Both the phones come with cutting-edge technology and are designed to compete with Apple’s iPhone. The company has launched these devices in two memory versions, i.e., 32 GB and 128 GB (no MicroSD card slot) and both the phones are very expensive, just like the iPhones.
The companies like Samsung, Huawei, and LG spend a lot of money on the advertisements of their smartphones and their devices sell well, the Google Pixel and Pixel XL may not be able to beat these brands, however, the need of the hour was a phone on the market running the real and totally original version of Android. And, this need has now been fulfilled as the developer of Android has itself introduce a phone running on its operating system.
Every other day we see that a tech website is reporting that a leading smartphone is receiving the latest update of Android. Contrary to this, when Apple updates its iOS, all the devices receive the update at the same time. On the other hand, every other smartphone manufacturer uses its own personalized Android user interface (UI), which is not the case with Apple’s iOS.
MORE Magazine had already hinted about the Pixel phones back in September. Google’s latest Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones are made to change everything about Android. These phones will receive the latest Android updates as soon as the company pushes the updates. Moreover, no more personalized UI skins, only the pure layout of Android.
It is very likely that the new Google Pixel phones are a hint that Google is going to take more control over its operating system. Presently, Google’s Android does not offer the same level of smoothness that the iOS offers. Google needs to meet with the third-party manufacturers and discuss with them how they can improve Android and beat the devices made by Apple.
