Google has launched another great app, called Google Spaces. In this app, you can create any kind of topic, and then invite your friends in the discussion to start a chat on the topic. The app is available on Google’s Play Store and Apple’s App Store and anyone with an Android or iOS-based smartphone can download it. You have to create a Google account to use the app.
You can create almost any kind of topic; Google calls these topics “Spaces.” The aim of this app is to share knowledge with friends. The app has a built-in search engine, powered by Google and YouTube so that you can search your favorite videos and share them with your friends between the discussions.
You can also search and share web pages with your friends through the built-in Chrome feature of the Spaces app.
“Group sharing isn’t easy. From book clubs to house hunts to weekend trips and more, getting friends into the same app can be challenging. Sharing things typically involve hopping between apps to copy and paste links. We wanted to build a better group sharing experience, so we made a new app called Spaces that lets people get people together instantly to share around any topic,” says Google, in a blog post.
The icon of the Google Spaces app is somewhat similar to the Telegram messenger’s icon. If you don’t like to download apps, there is also a web version of this service. When you log into the service, you will see a “+” icon on the home page. Click it to create a topic.
After creating the topic, you can invite your friends by sharing with them the link to the topic. You can also invite from Facebook or via email. You can personalize your Spaces by changing the backgrounds, and color themes.
You can share URLs, videos, animations, and images in a Space.
