The Federal government has retracted its decision to extend the tenure of the outgoing Chairman PTA, Dr. Syed Ismail Shah, reported ProPakistani.
Previously, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the committee formed to evaluate whether Dr. Shah should be given an extension approved his reappointment as the Chairman PTA but later an anonymous letter sent to all concerned authorities changed the game.
The letter reportedly raised questions about the extension in the service of Chairman PTA and now the government is seeking to advertise for the position in the coming weeks.
The letter was also not the only reason for the retraction of the major decision as the government wants to introduce a stricter person for this role.
The Prime Minister’s Office has already issued a notification directing the concerned authorities to officially advertise for the vacant position at PTA where Dr. Syed Ismail Shah would also be welcome to apply again for the post.
Apart from Dr. Syed Ismail Shah, the government also retracted decision of extending the service of Mr. Tariq Sultan who served as the Member Finance of PTA. The government will also be advertising for his job to find a suitable candidate to fill the position.
