Huawei seems to be raising the bar up by experimenting with some innovatory technology in its phones with an aim to manufacture the best smartphones. We know the camera thing from the times of P10 and now lately P20 with the triple cameras on its back but this time it’s the GPU Turbo Technology which is targeting to improve the performance of its flagships manifold.
The technology was unveiled last month, and earlier experiments were done on Honor 10, and now the company has moved forward to update its existing flagship line up, Huawei Mate 10 and P20 series, with GPU Turbo technology soon.
GPU Turbo is an integrated technology that bridges the software and hardware to speed up the graphics performance and improve the user experience. It not only enhances the graphics processing efficiency by 60% but also minimizes the battery consumption by 30%.
Earlier the company also rolled out a list of the Huawei and Honor phones with a detailed schedule of GPU update to the phones along with their regions.
Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has recently introduced Honor Play, which will be the company’s first phone with integrated GPU Turbo technology and will also be equipped with 4D gaming capabilities. The phone is aimed to change the gaming experience completely and will go on sale starting from 11 June.
Users with Huawei Mate 10, P20 series and Mate RS will be the first ones to receive the update in August. It seems like Huawei is finally learning to provide software updates to its users to better optimize their phones.
Although the update already started to roll out for the Honor 10, it remains China region specific for now. However, Honor 10 will be the first Honor phone to receive the GPU Turbo update.
