Freelancing through e-rozgar program

E-rozgar program by Punjab government is set to impart freelancers with the necessary skills to succeed via IT training. This program aims to train ten thousand young individuals to earn money by working online from home using the internet.

Now, the unemployed university graduates or the ones interested in working from home can earn from home with the CM Punjab’s e-rozgar scheme. The program was launched last year as a replacement of Youth Internship Program, which wasn’t successful. Last year, Umar Saif, Chairman Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB)  revealed that as many as ten thousand young people will be trained up to June of 2017 in the first phase of the program.

How to Apply

You can apply for the e-rozgar program in a few simple steps:

  1. Visit the e-rozgar’s online registration site
  2. Reading and accepting the candidates undertaking
  3. Fill the candidate registration form
  4. Checking your email for username and password for online test

The candidates can apply for any desired subject in the three-course tracks and to apply for desired course track

Technical Course

The technical course includes:

  • PHP Development
  • JavaScript Development
  • Web Design
  • HTML5 Development
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Non- Technical

The non-technical course includes:

  • Content Writing
  • Proposal Writing
  • Digital Marketing
  • Social Media Marketing
  • Internet Research
  • Virtual Assistant
  • Email Marketing
  • Recruitment
  • Data Entry

Creative Designing

The creative designing course includes:

  • Graphic Design
  • Logo Design
  • UI / UX Design
  • Books / eBooks

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the e-rozgar program includes:

  • 16 years of education
  • Age between 22 to 35 years
  • Good Academic Record, Writing and Communication Skills

After registration, the management will conduct online test / short interview of each candidate before the training. Afterward only the shortlisted candidates will be called for training.

According to PITB, candidates who have passed their degree and have hands on experience on basic computer concepts would be preferred to join the training program.

The last date to register is 5th March 2017

    1. As of right now they only provide training but they can help the freelancers by connecting them to the right platforms.
