It has been almost two days since the Galaxy S8 and S8+ were released and the reviews keep coming in. Also, there’s no rest at the rumors side either, with the Galaxy Note 8 and a foldable smartphone suggested to be released later this year.
Samsung Galaxy S8 has raised for almost all the smartphones with some great new features and we’re sure Apple engineers are manufacturing their reply right now. Let’s take a look at what Apple needs to beat the Galaxy S8 with its upcoming flagship iPhone 8.
Samsung has termed its ‘infinite display’ as one that will revolutionize the design of phones. Apple now needs to introduce a bezel-less phone going one step ahead of the S8. The iPhone 8 is rumored to be planning to replace the standard LCD display with a curved OLED screen manufactured by its rival Samsung.
The Galaxy S8 housed the push sensitive home button inside the phone’s screen. Apple can easily do that with a little effort as it has the 3D technology already on board and running on the current phones.
A place where Apple could really capitalize is the placement of the fingerprint sensor. Samsung had to remove the sensor from the front and put it besides the camera and has faced criticism for doing so. If Apple can somehow build an on-screen touch sensor that’d be great!
Batteries have always been an issue for the iPhone. With Samsung missing out on increasing the battery capacity in its new flagships Apple could consider housing a bigger battery inside the iPhone 8, addressing a decade-old complaint of its users.
