Ever since the global launch of Nokia 8 in August 2017, we have been waiting patiently for the arrival of the HMD Global’s first flagship device and finally, the company unveiled the device in Pakistan yesterday.
The event took place in Karachi where the company tried to differentiate itself from the launch of other smartphone devices this year by making it a fun event instead of a glamorous one.
Kamran Khan, Head of HMD Global Pakistan started off the event and later Ammar Ahmed, Head of Marketing-Near East gave a detailed product description and introduced Nokia 8 and the company’s budget device Nokia 2.
Nokia was launched at the end of November in Pakistan and offered a long lasting 4100 mAh battery to the users.

The audience was told that the device goes through 40 processes before it is placed on the shelves for the customers and the body is polished 10 times before it gets finalized for the user.
With Nokia 8 Nokia has rekindled its relationship with Zeiss and has given us an amazing camera. With the new Bothie camera, the era of selfies will take a new turn as the user can take photos and live stream to their favorite social media channels by simultaneously using both front and back cameras. Naveed Khan, a Pakistani photographer who has been published in National Geographic also shared his experience of Nokia 8 with the audience. He used to own an iPhone but later he realized he doesn’t need an abundance of gadgets while he walks across Hunza rather a single device will do the trick.
According to Naveed, the battery life of Nokia 8 lasted him for three days and the camera worked like a charm
The event also featured Shaheer Khan who is a mystery performer and a mind reader. He demonstrated his skills in full throttle and left the audience in a state of wonder and amazement.
