After months of teasing us with the oncoming launch of Honda BR-V, it is finally here in Pakistan. The company previously gave a sneak peek of the Pakistan’s first locally manufactured midsize seven-seater SUV two months ago, in a test drive event for media officials in Bali, Indonesia.
The nationwide booking of Honda BR-V started at the end of February. In Pakistan, the compact SUV will be available in 2 grades:
- i-VTEC = Rs. 2,229,000
- i-VTEC S = Rs. 2,329,000
In Pakistan, the high prices of SUV and compact SUV’s made it difficult to achieve the mainstream audience but it since last few years, the companies are introducing them successfully in the local market.
Mr. Shinki Aoyama, CEO Honda while addressing the audience at the launch event revealed: “The decision to introduce Honda BR-V in Pakistan is primarily to cater big families and diverse roads of Pakistan.”
The term BR-V stands for Bold Runabout Vehicle, a name no one sees coming from afar. Honda BR-v has garnered acclaim globally but is actually smaller than Honda CR-V.
Till now it was available in only five countries; India, Indonesia, South Africa, Philippine, and Malaysia. Let’s dive into the details of what this new automobile has to offer.
