After the launch of Honor 8X (Review) and Honor 8C (Review), Honor is bringing yet another smartphone from its 8 series, Honor 8S in Pakistan. It is slated to launch on 15th May and is expected to be priced at Rs. 18,999 in the local market.
The entry-level smartphone was first announced at the end of April 2019 and offers a major design upgrade as compared to its predecessor Honor 7S.
Honor 8S comes with a double textured back which makes it look quite pleasing to the eyes. Nowadays, other smartphones in this price segment prefer a single colored back with a glossy finish and thus, Honor’s new matte design stands out among the crowd.
The smartphone comes with 5.71 inches of IPS display with 720 x 1420 pixels of screen resolution and a dewdrop notch. It offers minimum bezels at the sides and Honor branding at the chin of the device.
Processor and Battery
Honor 8S is powered by Helio A22 chipset coupled with a 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage with an option to expand it upto 512GB via MicroSD card. Larger storage capacity comes in handy when you have to store more than a dozen apps or loads of data on the smartphone.
It also packs a 3020mAh battery like its predecessor and runs on EMUI 9 based on Android Pie right out of the box.
The entry-level smartphone comes with a basic 13MP camera at the back and 5MP selfie shooter at the front which sits comfortably inside the notch.
At the moment, it is only coming in Black and Blue color in the country and will provide earphones as well as back cover inside the box.
