Honor seems to be working on a big-sized phone this time. A handset bearing model number ARE-AL00 has been certified by TENAA, a Chinese certification authority. It is strongly speculated that it might be the Honor 8X, successor to the 7X.
The listing has revealed most of the specifications and its photos. According to TENAA, the device measures 177.57 x 86.24 x 8.13 mm and weighs 210 grams.
The phablet comes with a 7.12-inch display with 2244 x 1080 pixels resolution and supports multi-touch. The phone’s design exhibits a different approach towards the notch. Just like the Oppo R17, it has a tiny notch above its display which also differs from the company’s other latest phones like Honor Play or Honor 10.
It has a massive 4900 mAh battery capacity which will last you a couple of days. There is a 1.8GHz octa-core Kirin processor which is paired with 4GB RAM. The handset comes with 64GB internal storage space, which is further expandable up to 256GB using MicroSD card.
The Honor 8X features an 8MP front-facing camera placed inside notch for selfies and video calling. It has 16MP + 2MP dual rear cameras with LED Flash. These rear shooters are vertically aligned at the top left corner.
The phone also packs in a rear-facing fingerprint sensor. The device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo OS and supports all connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V4.2 LE will be supported.
We do know that the phone will come in Black, Blue, and Red colors and should go official soon but exact dates are not known for now.
