The frequency of leaks regarding the Honor 8X from the Chinese brand is overwhelming. The phone’s retail box was earlier leaked in a photo which confirmed that the phone is soon to launch. This time the company has confirmed the launch date of the phone.
According to a leaked poster, the company is not only launching the 8X but also the 8X Max that will have enhanced specs than the standard version. Both the phones are going to be launched on September 5.
The device was also spotted on GeekBench, giving us a fair idea of the presence of Kirin 710 in the phone. Other than the all-new mid-range chipset, the phone is tipped to have all the essentials of a 2018 device such as AI capabilities and GPU Turbo technology, all while carrying an affordable price tag. There is also an impression that Honor 8X and 8X Max may only differ in size where the specs of the phones will remain the same.
The phone was also listed on TENAA which gave us quite a significant idea about its specs. The handset is equipped with a screen resolution of 2244 x 1080 pixels which means it will deliver an aspect ratio of 18.7:9.
Honor 8X is a phablet with an ample weight of 210 grams and dimensions of 177.57 x 86.24 x 8.13mm and it weighs 210 grams. The Honor 8X Max may come with a 7.12-inch display, while its younger sibling may be smaller in screen size.
The phones will come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB as well as 128GB of internal storage and features a dual rear camera setup consisting of 16-megapixel and a 2-megapixel sensor. The 8X will come with Android 8.1 Oreo with an overlay of Huawei’s EMUI 8 skin. Furthermore, the device will come with a 4900mAh battery, which should be enough to power the beast.
