A new smartphone from Honor is making rounds on the internet these days. It is believed to be the Honor 8X. The phone was listed on Chinese telecom regulatory authority website TENAA a couple of days back giving out most of the details about its specs.
Yet another leak about the phone and this time its the retail packaging box that has been leaked online. The picture was first shared by Chinese media outlet PCPOP in which 8X written on the box is clearly visible along with the (AI) logo.
The company’s logo is also crested at the bottom which confirms that the box is for the Honor 8x and that the phone will come enabled with Artificial Intelligence capabilities.
The Honor 8X or the Honor ARE-AL00 as described by TENAA listings is equipped with a monstrous 7.12-inch display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2244 pixels. Judging by the resolution and size of the screen, it will come with the trendy taller aspect ratio of 18.7:9.
The phone features an octa-core processor clocked at 1.8 GHz. Although the chipset is not known, it is strongly anticipated to come with the company’s all-new mid-range processor Kirin 710 because the device is a mid-range phone and also AI enabled so Kirin 710 is the perfect processor for that.
The chip will couple with 4GB of RAM and a 64GB internal storage for a smooth user experience. The phone will also feature a microSD card slot to enhance the storage. The back panel features a primary camera of 16-megapixel that is assisted by a secondary 2-megapixel sensor. It is pre-installed with Android 8.1 Oreo with Huawei’s EMUI 8 custom skin.
The launch date of the phone is not yet leaked but judging by the frequency of leaks about the phone, it is safe to assume that the Honor 8X will soon be seen in the market.
