Hotel Eye software will monitor foreigners in hotels

Hotel Eye software Lahore Police

Due to the threat of terrorism in the Lahore city, it has been decided to keep an eye on the foreigners and the people who are coming from outside Punjab. Lahore Police has designed software for this purpose in collaboration with Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) which is the technology partner in most of the projects Lahore police is working on. The new project is Hotel Eye software which authorities are installing in all the hotels and the guest houses in the city.

Hotel Eye software will be very helpful for monitoring the people coming from outside the country and also the people coming from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

DIG Operations, Dr. Haider Ashraf stated that the Hotel Eye software will keep a record of all the staff in the hotel and also the information of the people staying in the hotel. This information will be monitored from the control room of the Lahore Police.

There are also some other advanced features in the software that will help in tracking the location of the foreigners. A legal action will be taken against the person involved in any mysterious or illicit activity.

Dr. Haider Ashraf also said that the Lahore Police has introduced this type of technology for the first time. Some of the people coming from the other countries destroy the peace of the Lahore city; that is why we decided to keep an eye on them.

It is a significant step by the Lahore Police, and we should appreciate them. But, it is worth mentioning here that the cameras installed in the hotels are for the safety and the security of the people.

Contrary to this, just recently, ARY News’ program Sar-E-Aam, Iqrar-Ul-Hassan uncovered some shocking facts that in Pakistan’s largest city, Karachi, how the cameras inside the hotels and the guest houses are really installed to blackmail the innocent people who come to stay in the hotels.

These cameras in some of the guest houses in Karachi are installed to record the personal and private moments spent by the newlyweds. The authorities of these illegal hotels then show the couples the videos and blackmail them that the clips would be uploaded on the internet if the couple did not give a hefty sum of money to the management of the hotel.
