Here’s a big news; Google is officially launching YouTube in Pakistan. In this regards, it will organize “Pakistan’s YouTube Launch Event” in Karachi. Initial details suggest the event will be held on September 28, and is aimed at bringing together the digital community to engage content creators, marketers, advertisers and brands to build a YouTube community in the country.

Discover powerful new opportunities to engage your audience, express your story and invite people to participate with your brand across Google and YouTube,” reads a statement on the event’s page.
YouTube was banned in September 2012 after it refused to take down an anti-Islam film. The ban was lifted only after the company launched a local version of the site, allowing Pakistani authorities to remove material deemed offensive.
YouTube now has the unenviable task of grabbing backspace relinquished in the Pakistani digital market over the three-and-a-half-year ban.
