Many people in Pakistan now rely on 3G or 4G networks because these networks are faster and more useful. Recently, the telecom companies in Pakistan have launched Wi-Fi USB devices for their customers. But, do you know that you can use your mobile internet on other devices without using any USB?
Well, if you want to use your smartphone’s internet on the other devices in your house, you can easily do that. Newer Android smartphones support the Hotspot and Tethering option, which lets you share your mobile internet with the other devices. In this guide, we will tell you how to set up this feature:
First, go to the Settings menu of your smartphone and tap “More” button right below the “Data Usage” option. Now, tap “Tethering and portable hotspot” option, then touch “Set up Wi-Fi hotspot” button.
Input a Network name, this name will be your SSID, and it will appear on all the devices that you connect to this smartphone. Select a Security type. You can select WPA2, PSK or WPA. You can also choose “None” if you want to provide the Wi-Fi access to everyone.
You will have to enter this password to all the other smartphones or tablets that you want to connect to your hotspot. Please use a secure password and use both the numbers and the characters.
After setting up the password, click OK. After that, tap the “Turn On” option to enable the Wi-Fi hotspot. Now, you can easily connect any other Android smartphone, iPhone or even laptop to the Wi-Fi hotspot of your phone.
To turn off the Wi-Fi hotspot, go to the Settings menu, tap Tethering and Hotspot-> Wi-Fi Hotspot, and hit the “Off” button. It is not recommended to use the Wi-Fi hotspot if you are not using the unlimited internet bundle on your SIM.
