Huawei brings on board Advance Telecom as smartphone distributor

Huawei now has three mobile phone distributors in Pakistan

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Huawei Pakistan has officially announced the distribution partnership with Advance Telecom, another leading mobile phone distributor in the country. With Advance Telecom on board, the total number of distributors reaches to three including Airlink and M&P.

This major business decision was very much expected after Samsung recently announced its 3rd partner Airlink Pvt Ltd, who is also the distributor of the Chinese smartphone giant as yet.

In recent months, Huawei has successfully snatched the market share in the country owing to an enormous demand for smartphones in Pakistan after the inception of 3G and 4G technology. 2015 witnessed a 1% increase in smartphone demand every month which is diluting the presence of feature phones in the country on a gradual basis.

Samsung Pakistan still holds the leading position when it comes to the smartphone market and range of products whereas, the Chinese company is catching up pretty fast, particularly in the middle and lower price range.

The company hopes to accelerate further by putting some extra burden on the pocket of Advance Telecom and using stronger sales network of the latter which it built over a period of more than a decade.

It is also merited mentioning that Advance Telecom also sells Rivo Mobile under its umbrella. It would be interesting to see what plans it holds for its brand in times when Huawei pushes for more aggressive sales orders. We are pretty hopeful that Rivo Mobiles keeps flourishing in the coming months.

The existing distributors of Huawei Pakistan – Airlink and M&P have also played a pivotal role in strengthening the Huawei brand”.
