Huawei Mate 20

With a determination to taking on the prevailing flagships, Huawei recently launched the Mate 20 Series in the most anticipated event of the year. All the newly launched phones in the series come with Android Pie with Huawei custom skin EMUI 9 on top.

Following the launch, the company announced that the EMUI 9 based on Android Pie Beta is being rolled out to Nine Huawei and Honor phones currently. However, the announcement revealed that since it’s a beta update, it will only be rolled out to those who have been enrolled on Huawei’s beta testing program.

If you have already enrolled for the beta testing, head over to the Beta Tester app and select Upgrade Early Adoption under the option Services. The current update is limited to 5,000 users of each phone. Here are the Huawei and Honor Phones which will get the update.

The update shifts the firmware to version 9.0.0.108 to all the compatible devices and carries an approximately 4GB weight so you need enough space in your phone to download and install the update without interruption.

Huawei is labeling the EMUI 9 as “natural, simple enjoyable and consistent”. The new version will come with a much-simplified interface, a GPU Turbo 2.0, Password vault and optimized app launch.

The features that Google introduced in its Android Pie are also included like the Adaptive Battery, Adaptive Brightness, Digital Wellbeing and AI suggestions in the app menu.
