Huawei, the number three smartphone manufacturer in the world is ready to take on Apple as the latter gears up to celebrate its 10th Anniversary with the new iPhone 8.
The Chinese smartphone brand made its way into the handset industry by offering quality handsets with an affordable price tag. As the buzz around Huawei P10 and P10 Plus has started to disappear, the company is readying itself to launch its flagship phablet, Mate 10.
Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei Technologies Consumer Business Group has finally confirmed that the successor of Mate 9 will indeed be called Mate 10 which will debut right around the time Apple will unveil its flagship device.
Mate 9 is best known for being a powerhouse featuring Hisilicon Kirin 960 chipset but the new phablet is expected to top this reputation. In an interview, Richard Yu described that with Mate 10, Huawei will have a much powerful product.
He further said; “The Mate 10, which has much longer battery life with a full-screen display, quicker changing speed, better-photographing capability and many other features that will help us compete with Apple.”
It is no hidden secret that Huawei wants to challenge Samsung and Huawei with its flagship smartphones. Apple is already rumored to be in hot waters due to supply issues with the OLED screen that some speculate will cause a delay in the launch of iPhone 8.
