Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro are among of the best flagships phones you can buy even in 2018 but the constantly emerging leaks tell us that their successor will be a powerhouse and we can’t just be patient enough to wait for the upcoming Huawei Mate 20. This time, renders and specs of the phone have leaked ahead of the launch which has dug our interest even more.
The massive and well-detailed leak comes from the XDA-Developers who obtained firmware files of the Huawei Mate 20 as well as pictures of the device which the renders are based on.
As the leaks suggest, the device will come with a 6.3-inch AMOLED screen, much bigger than that of the Mate 10 Pro. According to the renders, the display will have a water-drop notch similar to the design introduced in OPPO R17. According to the firmware files, it has a 2244 x 1080 screen resolution.
The earpiece will be placed above the notch and will act as a dual speaker. The phone is believed to have the 3.55mm jack along with the USB Type-C port and is also expected to support HDMI out just like its predecessor.
Being the triple camera trendsetter, the company is also expected to equip the Huawei Mate 20 with triple camera setup. rather than the vertical arrangement on the top left corner like the P20 Pro, Mate 20 will host the cameras along with the flash in a square like design in the spine of the phone.
The images, however, do not show any sign of fingerprint scanner, which led us to believe that the phone may come with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The Huawei Mate 20 will run Android 9.0 Pie, be powered by the Kirin 980, and have 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. There will most definitely be other configurations too. The phone will pack a 4200mAh battery and support wireless charging and will come with a high price tag.
