Notch is the new normal in the smartphone industry. Most of the smartphones, including the Chinese low-end phones, sport the trendy design set by Apple iPhone X. The latest flagship from the Chinese mammoth, Huawei Mate 20 is no different in this regard. Some more information has leaked about the design, pricing, and specs of the phone on Giztop.
The listing reveals a picture of the phone. As per the leak, the phone will come with an edge to edge display with the infamous notch and a negligible chin. The phone’s design resembles more with that of the earlier released Mate RS Porsche Design.
The handset will be arriving with a 6.3-inch AMOLED screen that will have Quad HD resolution.
As earlier revealed by the leaks, Huawei Mate 20 will be powered by the Kirin 980, the world’s first 7nm SoC. The device will be available in two memory options which include 6 GB of RAM + 128 GB of storage and 8 GB of RAM + 256 GB of storage. The phone is also expected to come with the latest GPU Turbo Technology to enhance the performance and decrease the battery consumption.
Along with such enormous room, the phone will also offer support for the microSD card. All of the phone’s powerful internals will be fueled by a 4200mAh colossal battery that will be equipped with 5V/4.5A Huawei Super Charge which has already earned a name in fast charging.
For the optics, Huawei Mate 20 will be equipped with Leica certified 40MP triple-camera setup on its back, as suggested by the earlier leaks, along with a front facing selfie-shooter with a 20MP lens.
According to the listing, Huawei Mate 20 will carry a price tag of $999 and won’t be available to buy till the end of September which implies that the company may launch the handset in the start of next month. However previous launch pattern suggests that the phone will be made available in October, just like the Mate 10 and Mate 10 pro did.
