Huawei P20

The long-awaited Huawei P20 finally gets a release date. Huawei has sent the event invites to a number of media outlets which shows that the Chinese smartphone giant is ready to unveil its new flagship devices on March 27.

Though the company didn’t mention the brand name or name of the smartphones in question in the invite, we are pretty sure that the new devices will be the successor of the P10 family.

Last year, the company made the big reveal on the Mobile World Congress (MWC) but this year then launch has been pushed back and will happen a month after the mega tech event.

The launch date of Huawei P20 has not come as a surprise to us as in the leaked Huawei 2018 roadmap we saw that the company plans to launch the P series in the second quarter of the year.

Recently, Ronald Quandt, a famous and reliable leaker revealed on Twitter the codenames and color variants of the new devices in the Huawei’s P series.

It will feature a Kirin 970 chipset with AI capabilities that was first featured in Huawei Mate 10 series with the exception of Mate 10 Lite. We are certain to see Huawei P20 running on Android Oreo and as for other features, we are still in the dark.

Huawei P20 is rumored to feature a triple lens 40 MP rear camera setup alongside a 5x hybrid zoom and a 24 MP front-facing camera. I guess we’ll have to wait and see whether the company’s new flagship device will bring this exciting camera technology to life or not.
