Huawei P20 Pro

Just seven more days until we come face to face with the new flagship devices by Huawei but nothing can faze out our excitement for the first triple camera smartphone. The camera specs of Huawei P20 Pro are not a mystery anymore as according to a new report, the device will have 40MP + 8MP + 20MP lenses.

Excited or bewildered? Well, we still remember Nokia Lumia 1020 bringing the first 41MP camera but it is not anywhere close to what the Chinese smartphone giant plans to bring to the market with Huawei P20 Pro.

How Will the Cameras Work?

Just like Huawei’s other flagship devices, the new smartphone will come with Leica co-developed sensors.

The 40MP and 8MP camera will be paired together while the 20MP lens will act as a standalone camera

According to the company, Huawei P20 Pro will be able to achieve 5x magnification which it terms as Hybrid Zoom. Though we are still hazy on the details, the 40MP camera reportedly achieves 3x zoom but coupled with an 8MP telephoto lens it has no problem with achieving 5x zoom.

The standalone 20MP is expected to be a monochrome camera which is usually present in other Huawei flagship devices. The apertures of the three cameras will range between  f/1.6 and f/2.4.

Reportedly, the company will also introduce a new feature “Light Fusion” which may have something to do with low light photography

The smartphone will also feature a 24MP selfie camera at the front. The additional features of the smartphone include a 6.1” OLED display with a 2240 x 1080 pixels screen resolution and a 19:9 aspect ratio.

According to the latest renders, the fingerprint sensor will be at the front of the smartphone instead of the back and will have an iPhone X-like notch. It will be powered by Ai-enabled Kirin 970 chipset and massive 4000mAh battery.

The smartphone is expected to come with 128GB storage and a 6GB RAM, which undoubtedly will make it a powerful device of this year. It is rumored to be priced at €899, which will be more than Galaxy S9.
