Huawei Mate 20 Pro

Google released the much awaited Android Pie recently but for the moment, you can only receive the update if you own a Pixel 2, Pixel 2XL or an Essential phone. HMD Global has also announced that every Nokia phone will get the Android Pie update.

Joining the race is the Chinese giant, Huawei. The company was earlier reported to have started the new OS testing on P20, Mate 10 Pro, Honor 10 and Honor V10. Starting today, August 28, Huawei plans to officially open the internal test recruitment which will be specific to 9 models for now.

As per the information collected from Huawei’s Pollen Club, the models that will receive the internal test recruitment are the Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, Mate 10 Porsche Design, Mate RS Porsche Design, P20, P20 Pro, Honor 10, Honor V10, Honor Play.

While these models will start receiving the beta update starting today and will most likely be the first phones from Huawei to receive the stable version of the OS, no information on the upgrade plan for other models has been shared.

Huawei’s version of Android Pie will definitely come with the company’s all-new overlay of EMUI 9.0. Besides that, the latest version of Android in specifically focused on the security of the phone and packs a ton of features in this regard.

Digital Wellbeing is also a very useful feature in the latest Android version and will keep the smartphone’s adverse effects at bay.
