Huawei has made a comeback after a long silence when it launched its latest Y series handset Huawei Y9s that is rightly placed in the mid-range segment and packed with some very lucrative features.
At a very mouth-watering price of PKR 42,999, the phone boasts a glass body on the front and the back in the Breathing Crystal Variant but the AI triple camera setup is one of the key selling features this time.
Huawei has put a 48MP main camera on the rear side that is accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide angle lens as well as a 5MP depth-sensing lens for bokeh. However, on the front side, Huawei Y9s features a 16MP pop-up selfie camera.
Huawei Y9s comes with a 6.5-inch FHD+ Ultra Full View Display, 6GB RAM, 128GB ROM – extendable to 512GB – and, a fingerprint scanner that is located on the right handset instead of usual placement on the back of the phone.
Besides, Huawei also launched Huawei Band 4 that can be synced with any Huawei phone. It is water-resistant up to 50 meters and can be used for keeping an eye on your basic health indicators.
It was one of its kind launches by Huawei that started with a photo walk participated by Blogger and Vlogger community who were taken to Delhi Gate and Wazir Khan Mosque where they did photography and tested the real strength of the Huawei Y9s camera.
Later a launch event was held in the Faletti’s Hotel attended by digital, electronic and conventional media along with Huawei’s business partners.
Huawei also announced its partnership with Daraz where an official Huawei store will open on November 30th right when the pre-ordering starts that will continue till December 6th.
The main event began with a speech from Huawei’s Country Manager Mr. Scott Huang in which he shed light on the stellar performance of Huawei in Q3 2019. He said: “In Q3 2019, we clinched a market share of 18.6%, securing our position as the second-biggest smartphone manufacturer in the world. Despite all the odds, our global smartphone shipments in 2019 have already crossed the 200 million mark by 22 October – a feat that we achieved 64 days earlier than in 2018.”
Speaking about the smartphone, he added: “The HUAWEI Y Series is a global consumer favorite – selling more than 200 million units globally over the last few years. Today, we are introducing a new member to the HUAWEI Y Series family, the HUAWEI Y9s. I am sure that upon the continuous love of our consumers for the HUAWEI Y Series in Pakistan, it will be another top pick by them!”
