Indus Motor Company (IMC) has increased the price of its SUV, Toyota Fortuner in Pakistan. Previously, the automobile was available for Rs. 5,249,000 but now it supports the price tag of Rs. 53,99,000, reports PakWheels.
After the disappointing review of the first generation Fortuner, the company has recently introduced the second generation Toyota Fortuner that features 2TR – FE petrol engine along with the 6-Speed-sequential transmission more luxurious design and premium look as compared to its predecessor.
The increased price is exclusive of taxes and any extra charges that you’ll have to pay while buying this seven seater beast of an automobile. The prices of cars and SUVs have sky rocketed in the country owing to the monopoly of the few brands, which is expected to break in the coming few years thanks to the new auto policy of 2016.
The SUV was first introduced in Pakistan in 2013 when Indus Motors started its local assembly in the country. Toyota Fortuner is available in petrol variant but as we have previously reported, the company also plans to introduce its Diesel variant in the country.
As of now, the diesel variant of Fortuner is present in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Philipines and South Africa.
Recently, Pakistan has seen an increasing focus on SUVs where Honda has also introduced its compact SUV named Honda BR-V in the country.
