“Well done Pakistan!”, is the message to Pakistani authorities by an Indian tourist as soon as he witnessed the facilities and infrastructure at Lahore Islamabad Motorway.
This Indian national is touring Pakistan and exploring the beautiful landscapes and historical buildings in the country. While traveling from Lahore to Islamabad Motorway, he was utterly shocked by the extremely modern facilities provided there.
“When I arrived in Pakistan, I realized that it’s just like our country, there is no change whatsoever, same people, same language and same landscapes. However, today I am shocked here at Lahore Islamabad Motorway. Its like I am visiting a developed foreign country,” exclaimed Indian tourist.
He made the video while at one of the service and rest areas. He not only acknowledged the superior services given by the motorway authorities but also praised the amount of international and local food outlets along the Lahore Islamabad Motorway.
“The people here in Pakistan have the sense that what travelers need while on a journey, so hats off to the authorities and Pakistanis,” said Indian national.
Lahore Islamabad Motorway also known as M2 was inaugurated in 1997 and still one of the sophisticated and expensive expressways in Asia. 1010 Km of high speed, controlled-access motorways are currently operational in Pakistan while 3690 km are under construction.
These high-speed freeways will help Pakistan boost trade and economy as soon as CPEC becomes a reality in the country.
It is really astonishing and as well as a moment of proud for us that India which is way bigger in resources and economy has no such level of traveling facilities there. Indian expressways are not that modern and lack technological implementations compared to Pakistan motorways, and it is evident from the expressions of this Indian national.
