Indus Motor Company Limited (IMC) concerned over the braking issues in its vehicles has recalled over 9,000 different variants of its flagship model, Toyota Corolla, 2016-17.
The variants that are to be inspected includes the 1.3L Xli/GLi, 1.6L Altis, 1.8L Altis and Altis Grande. Last month the company through local media advertised that some select number of Toyota Corolla may face some braking problems due to under-torque of the front caliper bolts.
A spokesperson for IMC while talking to The Express Tribune relays that the Corolla 2016-17 models of selected serial numbers have been invited for inspection of under-torque of front caliper bolts.
IMC has also dispatched letters to the owners of Toyota Corolla titled; “Special service Campaign- Free Inspection of Caliper Bolts.” The company through their letter has asked the owners to get their cars inspected free of cost.

International brands including Renault, Hyundai, KIA, Audi, and Volkswagen will soon open their assembly plant thanks to the Automotive Development Policy (ADP) 2016-21 which provides benefits for companies to come and invest in the country.
