After Facebook and Twitter, another popular social media app Instagram has announced that it will soon introduce live videos feature. A beta version of this feature was recently launched, and some users were able to use it. Instagram has now confirmed that this feature is coming very soon.
While talking to Financial Times, Instagram CEO Kevin Systrom said,
“Live is exciting for us. I think it can enhance what we’re doing. If I’m trying to strengthen relationships with someone I love, them streaming video to me live would be an amazing way to be closer to them.”
The live videos in the Instagram will work similarly to Facebook Live. To use this function, a user will have to fire up the camera and tap “Go Insta.”
The company has not revealed when this new feature will be launched. Currently, Instagram has more than 100 million active users, and there are some rumours that this company is planning to launch a lot of new features in the next few days.
Live video streaming is a new craze, which is developing among the youth and that is why all the leading social media apps are now focusing on this technology.
