Apple has rumored many innovative features following the past years but now it seems the major peculiarities like “waterproof built” and “wireless charging” will become true to the upcoming new-generation iPhone 8.
According to the Nikkel Asian review, an Apple supplier, Wistron, has confirmed that the flagship model of the company will be waterproof and will hold the most advanced wireless charging feature.
On company’s annual shareholder’s event on Wednesday, Wistron told reporters, “assembly process for the previous generations of iPhones have not changed much, though new features like waterproof and wireless charging now require some different testing and waterproof function will alter the assembly process a bit.”
If we talk about the top-notch upcoming iPhone 8 model it will feature wireless charging and upgraded IP68-rated water resistance, whereas, the previously launched iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus models are already water-resistant with a rating of IP67. But Apple analysts tell that only water-resistance is not enough as it may deteriorate in different conditions. Thus, iPhone 8 will be carrying the IP68 level of resistance to both water and dust.
In a recent report, Apple explained that in the IP68 rating, the “6” means that the upcoming phone will be highly resistant to dust not allowing a spec to enter the frame of the phone. While the “8” refers that its flagship smartphone will be effectively fluid resistant.
Whereas, Samsung’s Galaxy 8 already incorporated the IP68 display where it can be submerged 1.5 meters under water for more than 30 minutes.
Let’s see if upcoming iPhone 8 will be able to beat Galaxy 8 and other coming flagship smartphones including the Galaxy Note 8, Nokia 9 etc. It is expected to launch in late October or early November.
