ITU launches MBA for entrepreneursFor all the budding entrepreneurs in the country, Information Technology University (ITU) Lahore’s School of Business and Management is now offering Executive MBA in Innovation, Technology & Entrepreneurship (EMBITE). The course equips the entrepreneurs who already are running a business or have a dream to start a business with the necessary skills and knowledge so they can flourish in this endeavor.

The EMBITE program is a two-year long modular Executive MBA, which in accordance with the roadmap laid down by the Higher Education Commission will comprise of 72 credit hours, 22 courses (offered as modules) and a project (equivalent to two courses)

The eligibility criteria for admittance into the course is for a candidate to have 14 years of education with four years’ work experience or 16 years of education with two years’ work experience.

The program has very flexible hours with classes scheduled on the weekends (Saturday & Sunday) from 0900 hrs to 1700 hrs. The candidates accepted into the program are supposed to work in teams of five over the duration of the program. The course will make extensive use of case studies and simulations in its teaching methodology as well as on-line classroom contact, especially with foreign faculty

Prof. Dr. Umar Saif Adviser to the CM Punjab and Vice Chancellor of ITU has remarked that the EMBITE have unique features which target those who were determined to transform Pakistan’s economic landscape in the next 25 years. He also added that the program would give a new dimension to the higher education in Pakistan.
