The wait for cinema lovers is finally over as the self-imposed ban on screening Indian films in the cinemas is finally over. The authorities have given a green signal for the release of Hrithik Roshan’s starer Kaabil whereas Raees fans might have to wait a bit more.
As we previously reported, PM Nawaz Sharif constituted a committee last week where all stakeholders affected by the suspension of Indian movies were given representations. The committee recommended that old policy before the ban should be reinstated and now PM Nawaz Sharif has approved the summary provided by them.
Kaabil is said to hit the cinema screens in Pakistan TODAY and will mark the end of a ban imposed on Bollywood movies. The Express Tribune reports that Huma Films has received the No Objection Certificate (NOC) and it is subject to clearance from the censor board.
So if you’re an avid lover of Indian films, you better reserve the seats in your nearest cinemas as the advance bookings have already been initiated in several places.
With the release of Kaabil, we can surely expect Shah Rukh and Mahira Khan starer Raees to come to the big screens in Pakistan soon.
Kaabil is a story about a blind man on a mission to avenge the murder of his girlfriend. The film has been directed by Jazbaa director Sanjay Gupta and stars Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam.
